Bathroom Shelf Revamp

Updated: May 6, 2021

This project didn't take a lot of time. Mostly just a lot of elbow grease.

All that was needed for this was some paint. I went with Sage Green (to match the sink) and a Dark Chocolate and a clear sealant. I also used a paint remover, a scraper, gloves, safety glasses, and a hand sander.

“How many layers of paint is on this thing?”

It was pretty straight forward. The hardest part was getting all of the many layers of paint off from previous paint jobs. [using proper safety precautions] I applied the paint remover and let that soak in a few minutes. Then I was able to remove most of the paint. Once I removed as much as I could, I donned my safety glasses and went to work with the hand sander. I use a DEWALT, by the way. It has been reliable for many projects.

Now for the fun part

I love to paint. A good paint job makes it all look nice and clean again.

The bathroom still needs a LOT of work. I need to re-do the walls and the floor. The ceiling needs some patching too. It's a start though, one step at a time.
