Dill Pickle Dip

Here is a simple recipe for a cold, creamy dip you can put together for yourself or your next party occasion. It is super simple and amazingly good! You can't mess this up, I promise.

This is so good, I mean, tongue slap your brains out good! It's so easy too, as this dip is composed of only five ingredients and requires minimal measuring. It is easily converted to a vegetarian dip, just eliminate ham. For vegans, you would need to substitute the cream cheese also, maybe with coconut cream cheese. You'd know better than me, as far as that goes.

Ingredients

  1. Dill pickles - About 2 (four or five halves). Use your judgement here depending on your love of pickles. I used four halves that were about 3.5 - 4 inches long.

  2. Fresh green onions - Two or three, I used three.

  3. Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix - 1 packet

  4. Cream Cheese - 2 blocks

  5. Ham - Deli ham is ideal, I'd get 1/2 lb. There was a line at the deli so I opted for a pack of Smithfield diced ham which I caught on sale. Watch the sodium listing though if that is a concern to your health situation.

Let's do the thing

You'll need a medium sized bowl, knife, and a spoon.

  • Add the cream cheese and the seasoning mix.

  • Add the ham, slice and dice if necessary.

  • Wash the green onions and clip off the roots and I trim a little off the top end as well. Use a knife or kitchen shears, slice them then add to the bowl.

  • Slice and dice the pickles and add them to the bowl.

  • Mix it all up thoroughly and chill in the refrigerator before serving.

It's that easy

This goes well with crackers, celery, and/or carrots. Use your imagination, there are endless combinations. After it chills, you can also roll it into a cheese ball if you prefer. This is amazingly delicious and it sure didn't last long at my house!

Enjoy and thanks for reading!
